We have a wonderful and dedicated staff at St. Andrew’s.
Minister: The Rev Doug Kendall has been with us since September of 2009. This is Doug’s third congregation that he has served in his time as a minister. After graduating from seminary in the mid 1990s he began ministry in Gananoque, Ontario near Kingston and served as the minister there for nine years. In 2005 Doug and his wife Pam and their two boys moved to the Ottawa area and he began his time as minister at Knox Presbyterian Church on Elgin St. in downtown Ottawa where he was for four years. Doug began his ministry at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church Stittsville on September 1, 2009.
Doug sees the church as a place where we gather with all of our strengths and our flaws in the presence of God to see where God and Jesus fit into our daily lives. Doug has a keen interest in diverse music, engaging children and youth as a significant and integral part of the community of faith, and seeing the Church not as a place to go, but as something we are called to be. Doug also brings with him to ministry his love of camping, a sense of humour, and an unhealthy obsession with old British cars and motorcycles.
