St. Andrew’s Stittsville…
A caring congregation of Christian faith welcoming all, praising God,
and seeking to do God’s work.
We are a friendly church with rural roots located in the village of Stittsville — a dynamic community in transition from rural to suburban and one of the fastest growing communities in Ottawa. Our church was first established in 1822 and has been a fixture in the community at its current location on a large comer lot on Main Street for over 50 years.
We are a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in Canada which means we are connected to 19 other congregations in the Ottawa area, many more congregations across Canada, and we contribute to the mission work of the Presbyterian Church in Canada and around the world.
Staff
We have a wonderful and dedicated staff
at St. Andrew’s.

Minister: The Rev Doug Kendall has just been with us since September of 2009.
This is Doug’s third congregation that he has served in his time as a minister. After graduating from seminary in the mid 1990s he began ministry in Gananoque, Ontario near Kingston and served as the minister there for nine years. In 2005 Doug and his wife Pam and their two boys moved to the Ottawa area and he began his time as minister at Knox Presbyterian Church on Elgin St. in downtown Ottawa where he was for four years. Doug began his ministry at St.
Andrew’s Presbyterian Church Stittsville on September 1, 2009.
Doug sees the church as a place where we gather with all of our strengths and our flaws in the presence of God to see where God and Jesus fit into our daily lives. Doug has a keen interest in diverse music, engaging children and youth as a significant and integral part of the community of faith, and seeing the Church not as a place to go, but as something we are called to be. Doug also brings with him to ministry his love of camping, a sense of humour, and an unhealthy obsession with old British cars.

Secretary & Custodian: We are also very lucky to have a long time member of the congregation serving as both our Secretary and our Custodian. Geppy Walton is in the office most afternoons, and if you can not find her there, please leave a message on the church answering machine and she will get back to you before too long.
